Top 7 ways to avoid Cyber Attacks

Top 7 ways to avoid Cyber Attacks

Viruses and identity theft are not new issues, but recently, individuals and companies are at a much greater risk as a result of the unanticipated increase in internet and technology use.

Follow these tips to protect yourself from such an attack so that you won’t be the next victim.Anyone who uses the internet needs to be aware of basic computer security:

  •   Don't click the link If you don't know who sent the email, or if it's not a trusted website, then don't click the link.Beware: there is always an increase in email phishing scams around Christmas, whereby scammers have a fake retail store website and capture your credit card details when you buy online.
  •   Install Antivirus software Always have up-to-date antivirus protection and get regular updates, Don't press 'do it later' and update six weeks later.
  • Use strong passwords, most of the population is still using '1234567' or their first name and last name, The problem is that there are about 20 different things that require passwords. Also reset all your online passwords.* Never click 'remember my password'.* Use capitals, lower case, numbers and symbols in passwords. Don't use words in the dictionary.* Change passwords regularly.* Password software is good at generating strong passwords but the human brain is the best tool of all.
  •   Keep software up to date, this will ensure your software has the latest security upgrades.Attackers are always thinking up new ways to penetrate security. Don't ignore update notifications.
  • Reconfigure wireless routers, buy a router with secure wirelessencryption, otherwise your information is unprotected and can be stolen: for example, when banking or shopping online. When you get a new modem from a network provider, it may not be secured to encrypt traffic. People should go to the administration panel and configure their wireless network to WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2 encryption.Reconfiguring routers is easy and something people don't do properly.Change the name of the router to something obscure, otherwise it gives attackers information on how best to attack that router. Also, change the default login to a unique password.
  •   Encrypt email:Learn to use email encryption for sensitive documents. Don't send emails such as a child's health resume using Gmail or Hotmail. "There was [the recent case] where a Gmail employee started going through people's email accounts."
  •   Use a secure web browser Firefox or Opera are secure web browsers.Eliminating internet and computer use from your life is impossible,so be sure to practice safe computing habits to protect yourself from cyber attacks.

So it is a very useful tool for us but sometimes by virus attacks or being disabled by Administrator it can’t open. It may show error message like“Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator”. But don’t worry I have a trick to enable again Registry editor. Just use this trick:
Enable Registry editor by running a CMD command
Just follow these steps:

  • Open notepad
  • Copy the following code and paste it in notepad
reg add "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System" /t Reg_dword /v DisableRegistryTools /f /d 0

BYPASS ANDROID PATTERN LOCK WITHOUT PASSWORD WITHOUT INTERNET

BYPASS ANDROID PATTERN LOCK WITHOUT PASSWORD WITHOUT INTERNET
One of the most common and popular lock in android phones is pattern lock. we know that we have 3 attempts to open the lock else we cannot access the phone unless we enter the gmail details and our phone has internet connection.
So this tutorial is for those people who forgot the pattern, gmail details, who want to bypass the pattern, hack, who dont have internet, etc etc...

Note:

Please dont forget to remove your SD out before you start the process because the all user data may erase including your SD.
Update
Google has a decent article on how to regain access to your account here:
That will still not solve everything but start there and then go through the bullets below.
Some workarounds to try before reading ahead:
1. try entering null as password. (together with your google username)
2. try entering your username without @gmail.com
3. Combine 1 and 2
4. Call yourself from another phone, answer, without hanging up press the home button, then menu button, settings, try to disable pattern-lock
5. Call yourself from another phone, answer, hang-up, directly after hanging up start pressing your buttons like a madman for <30-60 seconds ending with your home button (might take a while to get the timing right). Go into settings and disable pattern-lock.
6.  Try the normal recover password routine from GMail.com and start over from 1.
7. Perform a factory reset. YOU WILL LOOSE all not-synced DATA (SD card will be left untouched).
1-6 are possible workarounds, these doesn't work for everyone but can be worth a try to avoid factory reset. 6. is what should work but hardly never does. 7 - The factory reset always work
End Update
In this case the solution is to make a factory reset (sometimes referred to as hard reset or wipe). This will erase all data on your phone (not on your SD-card). Your contacts and mails should be in sync with the Google servers, no problem there then. Downloaded applications needs to be installed again but there is a list of your previous downloads in the Android Market->My Downloads. Other things though are lost if you haven’t backed them up manually with a 3-rd party application. Example on things you will lose: Call logs, text messages, application settings.
This is your 3 step solution
  1. Factory reset your phone (links to Android device manuals can be found below, it differs between devices)
  2. Setup your phone just like you did the first time you unpacked it (use the same Google Account if you want your old contacts back!)
  3. Restore any manual back-ups and install your previous applications from the My Downloads list.
